we bought a pre registered HRV in February 2024 from Honda Cardiff.
Unknown to me the registered keeper remained Honda for 6 months.
Eventually the registration was transferred to me and I received the log book from DVLA in July.

The "online services" in the satnav worked fine until the registration was transferred. Now it says it has expired, see photos.
Honda dealer are clue less as are Honda UK.
The car is booked in in 2 weeks time but I am not holding my breath.
The Honda app is working ok.
Would a factory reset work? What happens when a car is sold privately?

What was the date of first registration?
If the car is now a year old that is why 'Online' has expired. I assume it is not that old. I never bothered to have it activated from new on my e HR-V.
Perhaps it has to be re-activated on change of ownership? Honda dealer should know this. Tell them you want it reactivated FOC.

It is only free for a year. If you really think it is worth it (most people don't in my experience) then you will have to pay for it. I can't remember how much it is, but £60p.a. odd rings a bell,
Surely your Honda dealer can help? If not I suggest you find a more competent dealer.

Thanks for your reply.
Online services are foc for 5 years now.
Unfortunately my Honda dealer doesnt have a clue.
As you say, there is little to gain to activate the online services, but was nice to have it.

I and at least one other forum member has had this in the past and the solution was to reset the navigation application. To do this go to the icon with four(?) bars across at the bottom of the navigation screen. Scroll down to settings and the second option is reset to default. Please note that you will loose all saved places, recent destinations etc.

However before doing this it would be worth confirming that you have a valid subscription with Here maps. In the following link navigate to HR-V and your model year year. Enter your VIN, accept the T&Cs and you should receive confirmation of the subscription status for your vehicle. If it is still valid then it would be well worth trying the reset procedure described above.

Good luck

Thanks for your suggestion.
I reset the sarnav without any luck
I then deleted the phone and re installed it and it is working.

Will probably use Waze or Android auto but nice to have it working.
