Hi All, was just about to hard wire my NextBase camera in my new E:NY1 and found the fuse size is smaller than the kit I've been given. Can anyone tell me if the driver side fuses are Mini blade?
Thanks
Mark

Are you using the nextbase hard wiring kit, it comes with a number of different fuse size.

I have used a company about 12 miles from me to install my Nextbase front and rear cameras in all my Hondas.

Hi Ron, thanks for the reply.
I'm transferring from my old Seat Alhambra which I hard wired it into but didn't find any other fuse sizes in the original box. What I've ended up doing is getting a next base 3.6 metre accessory(cig lighter) plug cable and have tucked that in under the trim and door rubbers and under the dash along to the centre consol. Can't see I will use the accessory plug for anything else to be honest.
I'm enjoying the E:NY1 at the moment...they should've fitted a heatpump though! Cheers Marc

Recent advice (from motoring press) is that if hardwiring a dashcam you should inform you insurance company as they can consider it to be a departure from OE. Due presumably yo the intricacies of the 'canbus' electrical system used in modern cars.
Obviously they should consider it to be to their advantage. But for the sake of an email it might be worth getting their ok rather than risk nullifying you policy.

I informed LV as soon as I fitted it (nearly 5 years ago) and it knocked a few pounds off.

Under the "my car details" section on the insurance schedule, it explicitly says "dash cam"

Well it's good to see LV are sensible. That is what I would expect them to do.

Just checked my insurance (Admiral). They don't record any details on dash cam installation and dash cams are covered under audio cover.
I have hardwired front and rear dash cams.
